Does my landlord need to sign up?
No. You sign up independently. Your landlord doesn't need to do anything. We verify payments directly from your bank transactions.
Which credit bureaus do you report to?
We report to TransUnion — one of Canada's major credit bureaus. We send your on-time rent payment status on a monthly cycle; how and when that affects your score is determined by TransUnion.
How long until I see results?
Rent reporting typically takes a few months to show up on your credit file once reporting is active on your account. How and when it affects your score is determined by TransUnion. Individual results vary and are not guaranteed.
What if I pay rent in cash or e-Transfer?
We currently support bank account verification via Plaid. If you pay via e-Transfer from your bank account, we can detect it. Cash payments are not currently supported.
Is my banking information safe?
Yes. We use Plaid, which is used by millions of Canadians. We can only read your transaction history — we cannot move money or access your credentials. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
